51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ

Whether in-person or remote, classes are offered in real time and are taught by the same world-class faculty that teaches 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ’s other courses. Students come to campus three—instead of four—days per week (Monday through Wednesday) during the first 9–10 weeks of the semester, and students take two classes per evening. After week 10, all class meetings are remote.

On Thursdays, students remotely attend 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ’ signature Foundations for the Study of Law program, which they can log into from the convenience of their homes or offices. There are no Friday classes.

Beginning in their fourth semester, students take a mix of in-person and remote classes. Certain in-person classes are offered on weekends or early mornings depending on student demand. 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ has successfully offered a variety of remote courses since the pandemic, including required upper-level classes. We strategically schedule the 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ Pro division classes to ensure flexibility for 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ Pro students and reduce the amount of time required to be on campus.

Clinical and experiential learning are key components of the 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ experience and help our graduates to be practice-ready. These opportunities are enhanced to provide even more hands-on experience for upper-level 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ Pro division students.

Students who balance school with full-time jobs might struggle to find time to adequately prepare for the bar exam, so 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ Pro has built-in support. The 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ Pro division includes an optional, though highly recommended, Bar Success Semester that allows students to begin a comprehensive bar preparation plan during their final semester through a combination of 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ coursework and other resources prepared in consultation with the various bar review providers. The special program concludes with the July or February bar exam and takes into account the reduced daily study time available for our 51´«Ã½ÔÚÏßÊÓƵ Pro students.

This Bar Success Semester includes simultaneously enrolling in our Introduction to the MBE and Introduction to the MEE courses, as well as one other course that is tested on the bar exam. This is complemented by required work (not for credit) in a bar prep course and counseling and workshops provided by our Academic and Bar Success Initiatives.
